THE POOLSIDE PASSAGE
Designed to make the transition from poolside to inside both beautiful and practical.
When the addition of a backyard pool created the need for direct access into the home, we reimagined the existing laundry and adjoining powder bath as a wet-friendly passage designed for real family life.
Travertine tile brings the natural texture of the outdoors in, while custom cabinetry, concealed laundry storage, and thoughtfully placed hooks keep the hardworking space organized. Blue grasscloth wallpaper, painted beadboard, and warm brass details add layers of color and texture, carrying the design into the adjoining powder bath.
The result is a beautiful, functional transition from pool to home—without wet feet ever reaching the hardwoods.
THE DROP ZONE
A place for everything—and everyone.
Just inside the garage entry, we created a hardworking drop zone designed around the family’s everyday routine. Custom lockers give each family member dedicated storage for bags, shoes, jackets, and gear, while an adjacent mail drop keeps paperwork and everyday essentials from traveling farther into the home.
By integrating these functions directly into the laundry room, one beautifully designed space now works as the family’s pool entry, laundry room, mudroom, and everyday landing zone.
A MOODY MOMENT
Practical doesn’t have to mean predictable.
Just off the laundry and pool entry, the powder bath continues the wet-friendly travertine flooring while shifting into a richer, more dramatic palette. Deep blue beadboard and coordinating grasscloth wallpaper are layered with warm brass lighting and plumbing fixtures, while the new wood vanity with marble top adds warmth and character.
The result is a small but memorable space that feels connected to the rest of the renovation—while making a statement all its own.
READY FOR REAL LIFE
Every detail has a purpose.
A full wall of hooks gives wet towels, swimsuits, and everyday gear a place to land before they travel farther into the home. Set against blue beadboard and finished in warm brass, even the most practical detail becomes part of the design.
