The Serenity Suite

Sometimes the best solution isn’t changing a room—it’s changing how you use it.

The homeowners’ primary bedroom sat beside the kids’ rooms, leaving their retreat feeling anything but private. An existing home office offered an opportunity to completely rethink the suite, so we swapped the functions of the two spaces—moving the primary bedroom into the more secluded office and giving the former bedroom a new purpose.

The relocated office provided enough space to add comfortable seating where the kids could come in, relax, and spend time with their parents, creating a welcoming family space without sacrificing the privacy of the new primary bedroom.

The bedroom itself became exactly what the homeowners were missing: a peaceful, grown-up retreat intentionally separated from the activity of family life.

The result gave everyone a place to connect—and the parents a space that was finally theirs alone.
