Day Dreaming in Blue Primary Suite Renovation

Overland Park, KS

A purely aesthetic transformation designed to turn our primary suite into a space I wanted to retreat to at the end of the day.

Unlike many of my renovation projects, this one wasn’t about solving a complicated layout. The bones worked—the finishes simply didn’t. Dated carpet and an uninspiring palette throughout the bedroom and bath left the entire suite feeling disconnected from the rest of our home.

We replaced the flooring and completely reimagined the look and feel of the spaces, layering soft blues, warm neutrals, texture, and timeless details to create a calmer, more cohesive retreat.

Sometimes good design isn’t about changing how a room functions—it’s about completely changing how it makes you feel.
