Spa Connoisseur's Ultimate Retreat

A dated primary suite reimagined to make better use of its space—and an overlooked architectural feature.

The original bathroom was dominated by an oversized jacuzzi tub while the shower—the feature the homeowners used every day—felt disproportionately small. We reworked the layout to create a more generous, spa-like shower and updated the finishes throughout, transforming the bath into a retreat that better reflected how the clients actually used the space.

The existing two-sided fireplace presented another opportunity. Rather than allowing it to disappear into the background, we redesigned it as a focal point, giving it presence from both the bathroom and bedroom and creating a visual connection between the two spaces.

Fresh finishes and thoughtful details carried the transformation throughout the primary suite, balancing the relaxed feeling of a spa with the warmth of home.

The result is a primary retreat where previously overlooked features became some of the most memorable parts of the design.
