A dated, angle-filled kitchen transformed into an open, hardworking gathering space.

The original kitchen was filled with awkward angles that created a choppy layout and limited its functionality. The homeowners’ biggest wish was a truly generous island for cooking, gathering, and entertaining—but an existing exterior patio door meant we had to rethink the footprint carefully to make it work.

By simplifying the layout and thoughtfully working around the existing architecture, we created the oversized island they wanted while dramatically improving flow and functionality. Hidden storage was incorporated throughout to make use of every opportunity, while a dedicated coffee bar gives everyday essentials their own beautifully organized space.

Updated cabinetry, a statement range hood, layered finishes, and thoughtful details brought the kitchen out of the past while keeping it warm and welcoming for family life.

The result is a kitchen that feels bigger, stores more, functions better, and finally gives this family the gathering place they wanted.
